HISTORY

In 1963, Duke Saas and Ray Kuehne founded Duray Plating Company in its present location, which at one time was an experimental division of the former General Hard Chrome Services (General Dry Battery) of Cleveland Ohio. In 1984, the owners (Duke Saas and Ray Kuehne) offered Kenneth Roth the opportunity to purchase the company. With Ken's four years of experience, expertise and love for the process of hard chrome plating at that point, decided to purchase the business. Ken's Brother Bruce, who had started working at Duray earlier that year as a plater, then assisting in sales, later became the Sales Manager. The next year in 1985, Ken's Brother Jeff joined the company as a plater, as he was also earning his Mechanical Engineering Degree, and later became the General Manager. Together the brothers have grown Duray Plating Company to be the first class organization it is known for today.
